STEPS TO A CUSTOM SWEATER DESIGN

Argyle Sweater Vest in Easter Colors

1.  THE CONVERSATION

“Two questions:
Did you make this?
Can you make a custom design?”

“Yes, I make custom designs as well. This customer sent a picture of what she was looking for but you can also describe what you want.”

2.  THE PICTURES

Below is an image I found online of a pattern for the Serenity from Firefly. It’s pretty amazing and I would love to see it on a knit sweater for my daughter… though not in those colors! When I asked her what colors she likes, she jokingly said the colors of bruises. Blues, purples, black, dark green- you get the idea.”

3.  CHOOSING THE COLORS

4.  PUTTING THE DESIGN ON PAPER

5.  WORKING ON THE MACHINE

6.  HAND-SEWING AND STITCHING THE DESIGN ON THE SWEATER!
